Although I've never played rugby, I have played enough sports to realize that Brownie had a tremendous impact on this team, both on and off the field. He appeared to be the ultimate team player, and a kid who played the sport because he truly loved to play it. I don't think it can be stated enough that he was a kid who was always smiling, and that his smile was infectious.

One of my fondest memory of Brownie came when I was taping his ankle, and he said "You know, if you weren't here to tape this ankle I wouldn't be able to play at all". I remember I almost laughed because he had been feeling pretty good for some time, and it seemed that whether or not his ankle was taped he was still going to run by everybody. Brownie was the kind of guy who made you feel appreciated no matter how big or small your role was. I find it amazing that he was so young, but we could learn so much from him.
